Viva Las Vegas- where things start to get totally out of hand.
I’m writing today’s update from over in New Orleans, but our limited assess to good wi-fi has meant much less frequent updates than I had hoped. Never mind, there will be still so much to tell when I’m back.
So, Las Vegas… Bright light city and this past weekend, Rockabilly Central!
Held out at The Orleans casino, Viva Las Vegas is allegedly the biggest Rockabilly festival in the world. And you know what is so fantastic about these events? That everywhere you look there are gorgeous people, beautifully dressed, having a super time!
Even though we only had three days in Vegas, our partying and lack of sleep made it feel like a week. There were about 40 or so Australians who flew in for the event, and my girlfriends Bonnie Rose and Chrissy Keepence were the perfect companions.
Everyone comes to Viva for different reasons, but for us it is music, dancing and shopping. It’s like a retro paradise, with everyone breaking out this best ensembles, chatting like old friends and dancing the night away (into the very small hours of the morning) to the best line ups of bands in the one spot you’ve seen.
I’d been dying to see J.D McPherson play and I can tell you he did not disappoint. I’ve scored a little video footage to share on my return too, but I can say that they’re phenomenal live!

The hardest part is knowing when to go home, because right next door to the band room venues were the two vintage shopping rooms! Filled with some of the biggest and best vintage dealers in the country, you just cant believe your eyes.
Seriously, as good as I said to myself I’d be, I knew it was a case of go hard or go home.
So I’m still going hard.
Wish you were here. Xoxo
