~Marie Antoinette Does Colour Blocking~
Sometime I like to put a whole new twist on my vintage dressing. Sometimes it’s less about the clothes themselves but about the stories I create with them, and the characters that emerge. Upon receiving an delightful invitation in my inbox for an occasion of historical significance (which you’ll see next week), the wheels of inspiration began to move and a whole new plan for these pieces in my wardrobe was born.
Imagine Marie Antoinette, circa 2011, taking on the colour blocking trend and taking it to the streets. And so I dressed.

Amazing photos. What is that building you are outside of?
Love it! I’m living in my pyjamas or my work uniform right now, with a tee, skirt and New Rocks combo for college – it’s wet, cold and icy over here! Luckily, my work uniform is chic black dresses (I work in La Senza), my wardrobe is very much lacking in colour at the moment. I’m considering coloured tights but as I’m a larger lass I’m worried I’ll look silly… thank goodness for a good dose of colour from you to inspire me
Gorgeous photos
I love your bag and shoes!
I love the floral wrist band – very beautiful quality silk flower that I would love to trim a hat with. Do you remember where you bught it?
Like Beckiejoe, also love your makeup shades – you have such a pretty face. I am particularly enamoured of your lipstick shade. What product is it? I am not a makeup girl but I am inspired to try something new when I see how beautiful you look in these colours.
I love the way you mix things up – pastels look more luscious with the red shoes and bag.
You look absolutely sensational and your handbag is to die for.
I am loving the explosion of color in this outfit and I am living bringing so much more color into my own wardrobe lately. It really dies make everything seem a little brighter!
I bet you turned a lot of heads walking down the street that day! You look amazing, and that outfit could brighten anyones day up!
