I can’t believe how quickly the Christmas season has come around again! I am so not ready for this yet… Still I have no objection to all the parties that come along with it. Last week was the first of all the Christmas parties for me, when Nuffnang threw a Blue Hawaii party for all of their Melbourne bloggers. The idea was to come dressed themed appropriate, which was a great reason to buy a new dress.
Held at the Honey Bar in South Melbourne, there were large blue drinks, tiny umbrellas and blow up palm trees – all the things a kitschy Blue Hawaii party should have. Check out the fun we had!

Sarah, Nuffnang’s blogger liaison and I have a bit of fun with the saggy palm trees!
Jimmy America and I hamming it up as per usual.
A brilliant night was had by all in spite of the very un Hawaii weather that Melbourne put on. Thanks Nuffnang for another great night – when’s the next one?

It was such great fun to catch up again! Wish I hadn’t been driving and could have had more of those lovely blue drinks…

*squee* that is the PERFECT summer outfit! I LOVE the dress and the shoes. May I ask where the dress is from? It looks like a vaguely familiar brand but I can’t place it.
Esz: I found the dress on eBay by Swing dance. It is one of those brands that make simple repro’s for Rock n Rollers, and weren’t expensive at all. The shoes are fabulous, so comfortable. I get them from Miskonduct Klothing, the sponsor at the top of the page.
Hello Candice! The dress is really lovely, I am already searching for a long time for a sewing pattern which is like this kind of holderneck-dresses which you wear on the pictures. Do you maybe know where I can find a similar one? Thanks a lot for an answer. Andrea from germany (where winter just begun and the world is wet and grey…:()
Candice, I love your hair like that! It looks really nice – more of it, please
Nicole: That would be right! The hair that I did nothing too but stuck a flower in…

I searched for the brand on ebay and I think you mean “spin dance” instead of swing dance…
It looks like you had so much fun. I wish that I had been able to make it, but I had an exam that morning and I had used up all my energy.
LOVE Grace’s trainers-and-maxi!! Too cool for words (for a vintage-and-trainers fan like me) and possibly the most perfect colour combo ever!
