The gentle waft of temptation curls through the air as soon as that beguiling metalic enchasing ever so slightly peeled back. Then your heart beats faster as the rich dark squares make their first apperance. You are bound by shackle and chain in it’s power as it hypnotizes you to take just a piece…
The smooth scintalating texture melts on your tongue. The flavour bursts into your mouth like a sunrise on a summers day ~ and you know there is nothing like it and never will be.
And that’s why I am in love with chocolate. It’s irresitable, irreplacable and incandescent on your tongue!

The best competition ever! hehe.
At 10.30am everyday I head to the chocolate machine in my office. It’s located on the bottom floor and involves passing a number of stinky guys to reach it. I refer to it as ‘going on a date’ to my co-workers, as they know I am off to find my one true love. Whenever I declare where I’m going, they raise their eyebrows and grin. They know not to interfere with my ‘passionate tryst’ as they refer to it.
Once downstairs, I stand in front of the machine, pop in my coins and press ‘E1’ on the entry pad so I can get a Cadbury ‘Snack’ bar. I enjoy hearing that solid thump as my chocolate falls and I get to greedily take it back to my desk. Then, for half an hour, accompanied with a trusty hot cuppa, I’m in bliss.
Who knew something made from cocoa, sugar and milk could produce such happiness (and make my job so much easier!). It’s amazing how my day picks up from there!
The thing I love most about those new blocks is the bigger size of the individual pieces. Suddenly “I’ll just have two pieces” is much more rewarding than it used to be.
Why am I in love with chocolate? Because it’s soooo bad for me, but I just can’t resist it… and it never fails to reward me for giving in to temptation.
The taste! The smell! The deliciously brilliant happy little endorphins that it sends whizzing through your body! LOVE!

Chocolate never says it will call and then doesn’t. Chocolate is always there whenever you need it. And chocolate doesn’t get jealous if you leave it for an afternoon to go shopping with the girls!!!!

A rare, expensive commodity when I was a wee girl, it was a major treat! From then on, it’s been the ultimate luxury, a thing that can soothe all hurts. I love it. In small portions, of course!
