No, not fallen off the face of the earth but living it up at Wintersun! I’m here at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, which by all accounts is far preferable to Melbourne this week with its near freezing temperatures and driving rain. I finally have a chance to log on and show you a snippet of what has been happening here so far, although the past few days have been more about relaxing and gearing up for the delightful madness to come.
Before I show you a selection of what’s happening, I have to say a big thank you to the surfer boys here at Coolangatta who have been prettying up my view each morning as they come in from the surf. What a way to start a morning!
I’m up here specifically to model for a couple of swimwear parades, highlighting a fantastic collection of swimwear from the 1930′s – 1970′s. Other than that, there is a lot of other bits a pieces happening. Dancing, workshops, vintage shopping, unbelievable music and a congregation of the most STUNNING classic cars! Really, it is a slice of vintage paradise and we’ve only just begun.
.
Hitting the town with Nicole Jenkins and Miss Carly for our first night out to see if we can’t put those dance lessons to good use.
.
Checking out the view from the balcony each morning. Who needs pilates to get the heart rate up?
.
Private dance lessons with the very talented and highly swoon worthy Ray Keepence ( Miss Chrissy’s husband).
.
Getting completely girly and doing hair and makeup together.
.
Hitting the clubs… again.
.
Watching the most stunning sunsets over the water. Life really doesn’t get much better than this.
.
And now to take a deep breath before we dive head first into the complete and utter delicious madness of a Wintersun long weekend!
More and more pictures on the way, but if you want to keep up with what we’re doing and seeing, follow my Twitter for all the Twitpic worthy moments.

Wow that weather looks glorious compared to the chill we’re getting here in Melbourne. You all look spectacular as ever – hope you have a brilliant time and can’t wait to see all the pics
YAY! I have been waiting to see your posts on Wintersun! Some of our Rock N Roll Club from Gladstone have gone down for it, and Im pushing hard to road trip for the weekend too! Hope you have a wonderful time! Cant wait to see more!
I’d love to see some pictures of the classic cars down there if you get a chance! My husband build’s hot rods here in the states, we both have a passion for all things 50′s. I absolutely love your style and blog!
Gorgeous pics! I noticed in a couple of your pictures, you’re wearing a cardigan just over the shoulders. There’s a red ribbon holder holding tying it together so your cardigan will stay on. What is this called? Would I be able to purchase something similar or is it something that you would/could make? It’s starting to finally get warmer here in BC, Canada and I am looking to see if I can work that cardigan over the shoulders look without my cardigan flying off if I move too fast! Thank you in advance!
Christine: They are called “Sweater Keepers” and if you search Etsy or eBay you’ll find loads of different ones there. the are AWESOME!!
Thank you so much for your reply! I am currently looking up Sweater Keepers now. Super excited now…
Hi,
I have to tell you that you have bought out the inner glam in me. After seeing you in the local paper, I decided that if you can go vintage glamour everywhere so can I. Today someone asked if it was me in the paper, so I must be getting the hair & makeup right.
Thanks so much but I have to ask how I am going to keep this going through a camping trip? I have thought about this all I can come up with is jeans with my jumpers that are vintage look and keep the hair & lipstick with my hiking boots.
Gorgeous photos! I remember Miss Carly at the Vintage Fair in Sydney earlier in the year, recreating those fabulous hairstyles. I actually spent the first 23 years of my life on the Gold Coast, so the view from your balconey is very familiar.
Glad to hear you are having a fab time and such a beautiful view, how I miss the ocean. Can’t wait to hear more. xxx
Hey! I saw you on Sunday at Wintersun, and was going to say aloha but I was too much of a scaredy cat, and then the opportunity was gone! But I’ll say hello now, and you looked gorgeous!
