Last week I was contacted by a lovely journalist over at Fairfax media who asked to come and meet me at home to talk about both the blog and my passion for vintage.
We had a lovely time as I talked her ear off over tea and scones (all very civilized really), and had a bit of fun posing around the house.
A big thank you to the journalist Kirsten Leiminger and photographer Rob Carew as well as to Fairfax for allowing me to publish this here.

Fun!

Great article, congrats…
About that nickname though – I read just today if people call you a knickname related to your style (the example in the article was Purple Lady but your 50′s Lady moniker fits perfectly) that you might be in a style rut! If your clothes are over 5 years old, you might be in a style rut! Watch out, it seems you may be the next to start questioning your style
Angelle: I take it your tounge is firmly in your cheek here.
any firmer and it would break through the skin…
Wonderful pictures, that dress is stunning! It’s always interesting to read about your favourite bloggers so thank you for putting this up!
Congratulations! It was a lovely read
Lovely pics! It’s so nice to read about your everyday ‘normal’ life. Thanks for sharing the article with us
Congratulations! Nice artice and beautiful pictures, very inspirational
I love the article!
It mentions in there you had swing music playing in the background. My 30th birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I’m having a dinner party. I was wondering if you have any suggestions of CD’s/Music i could have playing in the background at my dinner?
Erin: Hi! My favorite CD at the moment is “My One and Only Thrill” by Melody Gardot. So beautiful! For swing / old style, I love the ABC shops compliation CD’s “Bakelite Express”. Loads of music, great tunes and crossing a few eras, mainly 20′s-40′s.
Thanks so much for that! I’ll check them out
Keep up the great blogging, you’re an inspiration to so many people!
Cute!
Congratulations Candice !!! And looking lovely I must say especially the photo near the arch.
Jaede: I love that one too! The lighting was awesome!

Lauren: Aww thanks! It still makes me laugh, but in a good way.
