Sunday. We hit the town to celebrate Chinese New Year and Valentines day all in one. I’ve been having a delightful time hanging with my homegirl Violet Le Beaux and Jimmy America, showing them the sights and shopping up a storm. ( I have loads of awesome photos to share later on the adventures). Each night we’re sitting around planning the next days activites and it sounds something like this. “So what are we doing tomorrow?”… “How about fabrics shopping?”…” Yeah, then maybe craft supply shopping..”…” Oh and then we could go and check out that new button shop. Maybe we should go sight seeing?”.. “Yes! Let’s go and look at that little book shop!”
It seems that all my must-see landmarks are shops. Better start going to museums instead or we’ll go broke! And that, my friends, is why this daily outfit is based around functional shoes and uber comfortable pants – to cope with the rigours of window shopping!

Wow – your fingernails are getting more and more out of control!
That is super cute! My fiance’s birthday is this Friday, and we are going out somewhere low-key, but I still wanted to look stylish. You have given me some great ideas. Thanks! I hope you, Violet, and Jimmy are having a fab time!
Cheers!

I’m amazed you can manage those nails! They are totally OTT and absolutely darling
Shannon: They are surprisingly easy. Short enough to do what I have to and the decorations are superglued on. I just wear gloves when washing up and it is all good.
The Shirt is super funky.. absolutely love it.
Wow I love the entire outfit plus accessories, especially the necklace. The cherries on your nails are super cute! Love it.
Nice outfit. I was wondering, though. I know you are a wife and have two little girls. That means that unless you have a maid, there is dish washing, laundry, scrubbing of floors, bathrooms to clean, dusting, vacuuming, etc. How do you get things done? Do you have a routine where you clean before dressing? Or do you have a day where you do the “grubby” work and are just careful as you do the rest? I would love to see a post chronicaling (sp?) how you run your day to day stuff. Thanks!
Lorie: There is no great secret trick to it, I just swap heels for flats, put on a full apron and wear rubber gloves. The only time I ever get “grubby”is if I have to dig a hole in the yard! I don’t have specific days, I just clean whenever I have the time which could be 5pm or 8am. I’ll write up something about it for you.
Saw you and Violet on Fashion Haley’s site. Looking cute on the town! Love the outfit. I need some pants like that!
Ehehi I wanna see your daughter.
OMG your nails are INSANE! I just remembered that I have some nail jewels in my cupboard….I’m gonna spend the rest of the night blinging up!
Hey, I’ve been meaning to ask what pattern you use for your high-waisted pants?
Jen: I actually made it myself, but I’m considering releasing the pattern.
wow! lovin the nails
Have just come across your blog, love, love, love it!

That bow is so adorable…and then I scrolled down to the nails and was even more impressed.
Haha another push for me to sew my own romper. If only I have a serger that works.
For a second I totally thought those earrings were tattoos and I was very excited! They still look good as earring though.
