Feburary is one of the hardest months to find wardrobe inspiration in for me. Here in Australia it is generally as hot as anything, and it has been for a while. So our enthusiasm for fresh summer looks is on on the wane. The stores start teasing us with thoughts of Autumn showers, but the sun still insists on frying us to a crisp. This week I’ve taken another imaginary shopping trip, delving into the reaches of my sweating subconcious, to put together some late summer outfits to inspire your days.
Light, bright, Ice Queen chic. Looking like a stylish snowflake will take the heat off!
For party or for play, baby blue envelopes you in a cool breeze as you dream of the sea.
They say that green is the most relaxing colour, and the colour most often chosen by geniuses. Either way, frogs and frills most certainly go together in this look to take you away from it all.
Red may be the colour of passion, but add lots of rosey pink and it is all girly love. It is summer showers and raspberry kisses with a nice tall sangria as the sun goes down…

See if you can come up with your own monochromatic masterpiece from what you have in your wardrobe – and NO- black does not count this time!
Feeling inspired yet?

Ah I love polyvore
I love the freshwater pearl seashell locket! beautiful.
Ack! They’re all so pretty! Must stay away from shopping for a little while so this is no help. Eeeee ;-D
I adore the jacket in the first post! It’s gorgeous
I know exactly what you mean mama, Sydney has been disgustingly muggy all week!
For some reason I find myself planning winter outfits! I’m expecially in love with stop starrings plum lula dress. I can just picture it teamed up with seamed stockings, a pillbox hat, tbar shoes and a fox fur slun over the shoulder. I never thought i’d say this but i’m actually jealous of the folk back in blighty! x
Emma: I’m so not jealous of them! My brother is living there at the moment and nearly freezing to death as he navigates the roads on his pushbike! Still, I am already thinking about big crocheted scarves…
I am SO looking forward to winter season!
Adorable picks SKM!!! I might be getting those westwoods in yellow soon!!!
XXASAB
I don’t think I’ve been out of my Uggs for more than a few hours since late November! Worn heels out a few times, but Scotland in the midst of a VERY white winter is not tootsies-friendly! I can’t wait to rediscover my shoes and less-than-eskimo-style clothing!
lovely stuff!

Hey Candice darling!!! MY lips are finally feeling better but now my bum hurts haha from working out on the exercise bike.
I love everything you picked out, esp the esprilla shoes. (sp)?
Really love that crisp white shirt at the top, the details are fab. I’d love to fashion my own from a mans dress shirt, oh i feel a project coming on =P
You always manage to look cool and collected, I’m sure you have a secret stash of fairy dust or something! =D
Jennifer: I adore that too! I was very tempted to just buy it, but I also have so many projects in the works I’m trying to behave. And yes, there is a secret stash of fairy dust – it collects under my couch!
Great pics, love polyvore. It’s really re-inspired me to have fun this weekend with my outfits.
Keep up the great inspiration
My favorite of these is that first outfit you posted. Gorgeous!
