Hi Candice! I wanted to share this with you as I've just started using this 'do' as my daily go to, now that my hair is almost shoulder length. I have very curly, quite fine hair (but lots of it), so if not for my curl I'd have no volume at all. But I do love that it does a half wave all by itself in my fringe area.

I thought I'd take a photo this morning (it's not great and I've not put any makeup on today). It went up straight from being washed as today is a busy day, but it still looks "done". Once it dries out, I will probably take it out, brush it out a little and redo it.

I found that even with finer, shorter hair the style is very possible. Only changes I made was using sprung hair clips instead of a slide/pins, and a decorative hair tie for a home day. I also only have enough length for one back twist and not two. But it CAN be done, and look good.

Just wanted to pop in and say a big thankyou - this is now my easy-daily-hairstyle, so quick and easy to do. I've had lots of lovely comments on it too :)

floraposte - my mother's hair was below the waist and she could do this (and several others you wouldn't think could be done)- the longer hair will actually add to the style, the only concern would be the thickness of the hair shaft (as longer hair tends to be a tad thinner) but mom made up for it by using Dippitty-Do, I think any good mousse would work just as well.

Very nice style - reminds me of some of the photos of my Mother when she was an early post-WW2 bride. Only one thing I would suggest - that hair comb should be on the inside of the side roll so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, or use a comb that is decorated with a large flower which will hide it. Alternately, my mother would use bobby pins to hold her rolls in place - my mother cornered the market on bobby pins when I was growing up.
