Look what arrived for me yesterday courtesy of Kodak! It is no bigger than my iPhone and means the end of poor audio on my vlogs, as well as loads more new tutorials in the works. Hooray – I hear you shout. I have loads of new treats in the works, but am a little behind this week, so I know it is only teasing, but this is a very brief “Things to Come” post.
And while on the topic of making things, I’m continuing on my experiments with Japanese nail art, (you’ll remember my obsession began long ago here). I had a great set a few months back, and thanks to encouragement from my friend Violet and the amazing set she made me for the Nuffnang Awards, I’ve been trying my hand at my own.
The work currently in progress.
While on the subject of all things cute, cuddly, and sparkly; let me say that while I certainly claim no sense of ownership over these pastimes, there is a certain blogger who has been taking far too much inspiration from my play book of late and claiming a sense of divine inspiration.
My words and ideas are my own. They are not free to hijack.
This is not okay.

you should start doing branded nails. i once did a Dior nail set <3
Agent lover always has the cutest nails! If you haven’t you should check out her adoreable manicures.
Rosie: She sure does, and they are always thematic.
Cheesie: Ohh that would be interesting to see. Did you do a pic post on them?
Ohh, I love nail art too, but I never get a chance to use them..
LOVE the HD mini-cam! Mister & I have been looking at one to have around to tape the Boy when he does something adorable (his latest is singing Beatles songs). And the nails are gorgeous! I’m trying to get mine healthy enough (after a bad reaction to BioSculpture Gel) to grow again to have pretty nails.
As for your “admirer”, I hope they realise there’s a difference between getting inspiration to post about similar things occasionally, and .. well… having no original ideas of their own and just copycatting everything you do?
Ooohh, I’m desperate to know who the copycat is…
Name and shame!!!
Is that your phone all decorated ? How pretty, and the nails.
Yes do tell who is copying you !!
The nails will go so well with your phone cover! I love glittery nails!
AHHHH! Way too cute! I really must experiment with nail art!
A quick comment as I’m supposed to be rushing out the door!
ALthough I’m curious to know who the naughty woman is, I’m not sure naming and shaming is a great idea – we’d all get angry with her and it may escalate into something worse than what has happened, and that is most definetly NOT GOOD, or ladylike :p
Your blog posts always make me think about my own opinion on the topic covered, and at least once I’ve talked about it on my own blog, and you were gracious enough to comment on my little ramble about it. I think you are right, as long as credit is given where it is due, taking an opinion to further analyse your own views is acceptable. Or maybe I’m just saying that since I’ve already done it! But to blantantly plagiarise someone’s hard work is the lowest of the low!
I love the camera too, I’m going to be buying one too shortly, so I’d love to know how it works out for you!
I’m back online after a long break, so I’ll be updating my own blog shortly and catching up with everything else I missed!
Miz
xx
Miz: You are quite right. One of the things I love about blogging is that it gets people thinking and talking. It inspires and creates a great community of like minded people. I never have a problem with inspiring spin off posts and as you say,so long as credit is given when using other peoples work or asking permission if you are using things directly from their site. I try to do this wherever possible, always trying to track down original sources, which can be difficult. I do have a problem when people lift from my work or words verbatim and claim is as their own – as you say – not ladylike at all!
And thank you for the comment. I appreciate all my readers and especially those that take the time to comment and participate. We make a great team
Welcome back too. !
Love the little details of the nails. You must do more.

Meream: Wait till you see the finished product today….
Candice, captivating phone…and nails, of course! I’d love to have a prettier iPhone, but I have slippery hands so I need to stick w/ a silicone cover… Good work!!!
