I’ve had some requests for larger photos, so we’ll see how this goes. Let me know if it is slow to upload for you and more of a problem this way..
Yesterday’s daily outfit was for a straight forward, office and meetings type of day. It was also a day that I slept in somewhat, so rather than lots of forward planning, I just grabbed a few favorites and made it work. Most days I allow myself about an hour to an hour and a half, from getting up to walking out the door. This includes getting two children ready, breakfasted and dressed, so contrary to popular belief, I don’t have hours to spend in front of the mirror each morning, but practice makes perfect! I have had a few emails asking me about how long it takes me to get ready, so this week I’m putting together a look at my morning schedule to show you how I make it all work.. relatively smoothly. It isn’t always easy, but there are some key tips and tricks I have to share with you, so don’t go away and I’ll be back with those soon. And now for the main reason you come to see these posts, the outfit details.
Note: As I’ve uploaded these I’ve realised how my two tone hair matches the two tone outfit. Gotta love a happy coincidence!

va va voom…love the pleating at the back of the skirt.
WoW!! Great outfit. So fresh, and showing the sunny sunshine spirit.
Love the yellow and black combo. I wish I looked as good as you do in a pencil skirt. And I love the hair!

I’ve been meaning to ask you for the address of Circa Vintage too?
I adore the outfit! So glamorous, but also very subtle.
I love this outfit! My favorite so far!
wow! You’re one hot mama! Love the skirt.
I love that shade of yellow–it’s one of my faves. Lovely outfit all around!
You are absolutely gorgeous! I would totally steal this outfit! It may be my favorite of all.
You’re such a pin-up girl!
Yes, the two-tone on two-tone looks fabulous!
And crikey, you wouldn’t want to fall off that balcony would you?! No railing! ….makes me nervous, eeep!!
I saw that skirt in portmans and tried it on, it looked terrible on me. But seeing it on you makes me feel very sad it didn’t suit me. You look lovely.
Your hair is perfect
And you can’t go wrong with a pretty blouse and a pencil skirt!
How are you finding Portmans lately? The last couple of times I’ve been they’ve let me down. Couldn’t even find a nice cardigan for spring. And they were doing so well too. Maybe the next lot of spring stuff will be nicer I hope!
Glad I’m not the only one who struggles to find shirts with sleeves THAT DO UP!
Very nice! That seems to be my outfits most days when I’m off to work, but when you work in an office, there isn’t much you can do.
That outfit looks SO good on you!
Having enough time in the morning is always an issue – my hair always seems to suffer, too.
I’m trying to practice using victory rolls as much as I can so I get quicker at using them…
That looks super duper SKM±
This is perfect! I’m rethinking the jeans and t-shirt I was planning to wear today…
You looking smashing!
I am always in awe of your hair.

Can’t believe that is a thrown on speedy outfit; it looks immaculate! Especially the hair, anytime I try to do anything interesting with my hair in the mornings my fingers turn into clumsy bananas and I end up delaying myself and having to give up! Your hair looks so shiny and in such good condition too.
Gorgeous! Just so Mad Men- that was my first thought.
You look stunning, as usual! Love love love.
I look forward to hearing about your tips and tricks for getting ready. I certainly need some!
Your hair and make up looks effortless for a quick morning!
Lovely
I love this daily outfit. It’s my fave, so far!
I’m looking forward to hearing your tips for making your morning routine run smoothly. I need help! With a new baby, I feel lucky if I can pull my hair back before i leave the house in the morning.
Please share!
Melissa
You look stunning!
Total glamour. I really love yellow on you. I adore the color but as a red head avoided it. I really want to try it again in seeing this.
Some time ago you suggested collecting pictures to find ones own personal style. I would have to say that this is a photo that I instantly would add to my collection ! Very cool !
I love it! And I love how your blond streak hi-lights the roll. So good!
Absolutely beautiful outfit! I wear an iteration of the pencil skirt/fitted blouse or button down skirt combination all the time, it is one of my fail-safe go-to outfits.
You really look fabulous, I especially like the way the light illuminated the gold in your hair in the photo where you’re seated with a mug in hand.
Have a marvelous day, sweetie!
