Wow, what a weekend. I think I need a holiday now! The vintage fair was a huge success again, and I did come away with a great selection of loot that I am super pleased with. I can hardly wait to try out these new pieces and am already full of some fantastic styling ideas. Can you tell I have been in a pink fluffy mood recently?

Yep, I’m chuffed to bits. I often go to these events without any real plan and just work from my Lust List, as you have heard about before. But on Saturday I really felt the need to inject some much needed fun and colour into my winter wardrobe.
Now you’ll just have to wait and see how I wear them!

That square dance dress is like a dream- what a delicious confection; the fabric, color… I’m an unashamed lover of pink too..
I like that Betsey dress!
ohhh I loveee that Betsy dress!!!! And the sleeve on the square dance dress.

What a great coincidence that you found a Betsey Johnson dress there, since you’re currently mad about her designs!
Sometimes I think we just attract things to ourselves by putting a subconscious request out into the cosmos!!
Hmm, that was very new-agey of me! Must be all that Oprah watching…
That powder jar is amazing. I wish I required powder so I would have a reason to buy something awesome like that!
And yes, I am eagerly awaiting these numbers popping up in your ensemble posts.
Xx
Wow, amazing finds! Cant wait to see them “in action” =)
I have the same powder jar.
I found it in a great second hand shop in Mildura last year.
Did it still have the puff in it? Because mine die & it smelt revolting!
Alex: No it didn’t still have the puff in it. I think it may be an old AVON one, a friend of mine has one of these too, I think they are fairly common, but still so pretty.
Bettie Booh: Fun fun fun!
Grant: I won’t be using it for powder, I’m sure you could come up with all sorts of things to store in such a jar.
Allison: I think you are completely correct. This happens to me all the time. Send it out – get it back!
ASAB: It is SO cute on. When I tried it on and stepped out of the change booth, everyone went “Awwww!” So I knew it was a winner.
can’t wait! hurry!
Oh wow–what great finds! That Betsey Johnson dress is amazing!
I love all of your finds with the exception of the blue furry bags. I have never got into things along those lines. I could have seen myself buying one for my daughter, however. She loves things like that to play dress up with. I would really love to find a powder jar like that. I would clean it VERY well and put my loose powder in it on my makeup table. Or fill it with some lotion. Or use it as a bobby-pin holder. The options are almost endless.
I can see you in the pink dress. I am sure that you wear pink very well. You have good coloring for warm colors. For some reason, I don’t seem to like them on me. I go with cooler colors (blues and greens). Go figure.
Wow, that dance dress looks yummy. These are great finds.
I think you have just given me all the motivation I need to take some me time after I write my exam next Tuesday, and go hit up some of my own local vintage stores. After a three hour exam about Crime and State in History, I think I am going to need it!
Stunning – especially the powder jar. It is always best to go to vintage fairs without a real plan – it leaves you more open and receptive to the unexpected bargains!
Lauren: Yes, no plan and a budget is the best way to go!
Meream: It will be perfect for Miss 5′s (!) birthday on the weekend if it isn’t too cold.
Noknees: I’m generally not a fan of fur bags either as here in Australia one of the most common souvenirs (when I was growing up) was the Kangaroo or Koala fur purse! Eww. Not a fan of those, but these coloured ones were just too amazing. The powder jar is actually very large, for body dusting powder. I’ll probably be filling it with my makeup removing cotton and making it look all pretty.
