It is not often that I find almost an entire collection from a single designer that I want to wear. I generally pick and choose pieces that make me happy and mix them up. But Betsey Johnson’s A/W 09 collection has me waiting with baited breath to get my hands on these pretties. Traditionally I don’t go in for the pink short and frothy party dress, mainly as dressing like a Four year old when you have one tends not to be the most flattering choice. But this new collection is all me. Bright jewel colors, high contrast prints, solid coloured opaques and my current adoration- sequins!
So until this collection is actually available to me, I am making do with trips to the fabric store and using this amazing collection as inspiration for some new creations of my own.

Uhoh looks like this designer has been reading your private diary!
These look made for you, I love the black forrest cake shoes and skirt – ok and the top.
The top half of tiramisu and cherry tart and all of bananna split!
Rebecca: Considering it is all her in the blog, maybe that is where she found her inspiration? Wouldn’t that be a thrill!
Icy: Yep, not for the faint of heart.
Fyre: That is a great idea. I may have to give that a try.
Woah, they are … full on, aren’t they?
Those outfits are so you. Sophisticated goth, I believe you call it. And I think that you could even use your beloved poppy dress for those first two looks because the skirts look like they are made from the same material!
it’s so you!!!!
The rose pieces remind me of her pieces that I had WAY back in the day.
Wendy B: Maybe that is it. Perhaps they appear to our Cyndi Lauper side as women that lived through fashion in the 80’s.
Maialen: Hi there. Yes, I am quite confident and comfortable in my own style and they are super fancy!
ASAB: Makes them all the more delicious yes?
Meream: Ohh yes, the shoes!
Bettie Booh: the skirts are out of this world. I’d love to know the meterage of tulle used in the last one.
you must be very sure about you to wear those things , but they look like so fancy!!!
HAHA I love that they’re named after desserts!
Blueberry pancake and Black Forrest cake are my favs!
XXASAB
These have your name written all over them. The shoes look fabulous.
Wow, amazing clothes, love the skirts
Wow, I love the red and black long-ish skirt top left. I often like her stuff, and one day might just have to get an item!
Marianne: We really need a Betsey Johnson store here in Melbourne. I think she would clean up here!

Sandra:
Mr SKM: Might be a while, but thanks for the free pass.
Rose: Let us know if you do!
Yummy! These are all adorable!
I can’t wait till you buy them
Delicious! I can’t wait to get my hands on some of this stuff.
mmmm delicious indeed.
always LOVE betsey johnson for the young cute meet punky stuff.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with in the meantime with your own creations!
Allison: Me too!
Pugly Feet: Yes, it seems the older I get, the more I love her.
Agent Lover: funny about that.
I used to find her designs outrageous, but have grown to love her style over the years. Now, I’m absolutely smitten with her style.
I LOVE BETSEY!! My # 1 fave designer!!
oopppph! I know, aren’t they gorgeous! I don’t know how she does it every time, but I could wear every Betsey piece ever made! (well, eveything from the past 20 years, before that I would be a little choosy)
