As it is the Queen’s Birthday holiday here today, I’m taking an extended weekend and sharing with you the pictures that have been floating inside my head for the past two days.
My obsessions are never ending. I wake up one morning and want to re paint my kitchen. Then about ten minutes later think it would be nice to have a canary… or maybe a hamster. And with the obsession feeding internet at my finger tips, I can satiate some of my cravings by simply living vicariously through others. Such is the beauty of Flickr and other candy shops.

Don’t you just love how if you find a mouse in your house, it’s a rodent, but someone else’s rodent is an adorable pet? Hmmm…. Funny how that works!
Fyre: Yep, totally strange. I ave just spent the better part of a month getting rid of a mouse infestation so you would think I have had enough!
Rosie: Accidentally? You are privy to my odd thoughts on a regular basis here.
ASAB: I had a piggy a few years ago and still mourn her passing. She was super cute and even walked on a leash!
Wendy B: Are they as joyful as they seem? I think it would be hard not to smile all the time around them.
Love it! You perfectly describe all the passing thoughts that flutter through my head! Do you ever have an awkward moment when you accidentally voice one of these desires? I hate them.
Awww hamsters are sooo cute, I use to read about them in (american)books and want one. Sadly we only have guinea pigs.
Happy public holiday.

I once co-parented a hamster. I don’t really have anywhere to go with that comment. No punch line or anything. Just…I once co-parented a hamster.
Just in case anyone is interested, there is a fantastic online radio station out of the USA called Martini in the Morning, and they play all of the old favourites from Frank Sinatra to Bobby Darin to newer stuff by Michael Buble and Diana Krall. It’s fantastic and I listen to it every morning at work. I’m a bit of a cheerleader for them!
WendyB, what happened to the hamster you once co-parented? And how does hamster co-parenting work exactly?
Oh my goodness that furry face is adorable !!
