When it is a drink!
The good people at Smirnoff sent me a package, plying me with drinks and asking me to share this new / old favorite with you. And I can honestly tell you that this is my new favorite drink! It will never take the place of my G&T’s, but the old Vodka, Lime and Soda is out of here! So join me for a drink and let me show you how it’s done.
*I apologise in advance for the poor film quality, my camera is on it’s last legs. Also beware the hamminess of this segment, I had been sampling the wares.*

You can see all the offical, film noir styled, promo release at It Started With a Mule.

Delicious! I love my Vodka lime and soda’s!
That looks yummy!
Bottoms up.
Great video. That looks delicious. You’ve got an awesome blog. I really like it a lot. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I appreciate it. Cheers!
You used to be able to buy Smirnoff Mules in bottles over here – they were my drink of choice for a while! Might give this a whirl, but nothing beats a pimms and lemonade on a summer’s day!
Fleur: Yes, they were those sort of copper coloured bottles? Nothing like making it properly and freshly though. The fresh lime and the best ginger beer is key.
Keith: Thanks for popping by. Put up your feet and stay a while.
SKM, is ginger beer an actual alcohol? Or is it what we here in the states would call ginger ale? Like a light fizzy soda?
Amber: Good point! I forgot we all have different terms for thing. Ginger Beer is non alcoholic, but it is not Ginger Ale. Ginger Ale is very sweet and fizzy. Ginger Beer is somewhat sweet, somewhat fizzy (but not as much as a soda) and taste very strongly of REAL ginger. The kind of thing you would give to a child and they would most likely spit back at you!
Oh yum !!! I have to tell you what I have seen and tasted as ginger beer here in the US is just awful. Almost the moment I hit the tarmac in Sydney I’m off the nearest supermarket for ginger beer and Cadbury chocolate. I love your final comment, so Australian, I’m getting home sick……….
Jaede: You might have to be my “man on the ground’ for this one and sleuth out a decent ginger Beer for all these USA readers, as you know what it is supposed to taste like! What do these people do without a good Bundaberg? That last comment was a funny one. I was really enjoying it so much that it just slipped out!
How cute are you? I smell an endorsement deal!
Ohh goody. Bookmarked for a special occasion.
I could use one now.
Wendy B: When we find out the best proper Ginger Beer over there, I’ll let you know so you can have one as it is meant to be.
Meream: Make every day a special occasion! But then again… I warn you, they are addictive.
Cammila: Wouldn’t that be nice. Should they choose to start sending me cheques I’ll let you know.
oh yum! memories of the christmas party just come flooding right back… until I got to the point where new memories were unable to be created… lol
Awesome, I love it! And you are a natural in front of the camera SKM
I look forward to giving this a go. I love vodka, i love ginger beer, I love lime, yum.
Wow, looks like Smirnoff sent both you and Lady Melbourne some loot.
I’ll keep and eye and taste bud out for some but I’m not liking my chances.
ahem, What exactly is wrong with Hammie-ness?
xx
Hammie: I wonder what happens when Hammie does Hammie??? Perhaps a tear in the space time continuum…
Jaede: Thanks!
Ms Vitriol: Indeed. There is a big move by PR companies to get digital media on board.
Marianne: Set aside an afternoon as i have discovered that one is not enough.
Elise: …Oh..dear..
this is definitely one of my favorites….yum.
Someone make me one of these now…
