Dear Weekend – Vintage Show
With all those Easter festivities it feel like it has been a very short week this time. But in one way I’m glad that Friday has come around quickly this week. Why? Well this weekend I’m excited to be flying up to Sydney for the Vintage clothing jewellery and textiles show! It opens tonight and I’ll be there on the door step waiting to get the first look at all the goodies on offer. There are a few things on my vintage shopping list that have been tricky to find, so I am hoping with such a wealth of vendors in one place I’ll be able to track these pieces down. Tickets are still available so I suggest you get on a plane, train or bus and get yourself to a whole weekend of vintage madness.
The little interstate trip is also a great opportunity to catch up with missed friends, my favorite restaurants (ohh gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms), and possibly a few drinks on the water. I lived in Sydney a while back and every now and again I get nostalgic for those warm summer nights on the harbour, but a few visits here and there is enough to do me. I’ll be Tweeting updates over the weekend covering the Vintage Show and general Sydney frivolities. If you see me floating about in town make sure to say hi!
So my list is not long this weekend. It will be full of all those lovely spontaneous activities that one can enjoy on a rare child free adventure.
