Dear Weekend and Some Links a la Mode
This week I have been working like a demon on some super secret projects all to be unveiled next week! I have had such fun putting them together for you and it is only the beginning of so many more treats. I’ve also had one major change to my life, which in the interest of transparency I have to tell you about. After beginning this blog as a hobby, it has become something bigger than I ever imagined. This of course meant that of late, my family has been left wondering what’s for dinner and are Easter Eggs really a nutritious substitute for a meal? So I have taken the plunge and found an assistant. An angel in disguise to help me keep the balance of domesticity and harmony as I venture further into this writing as a job business. It is only day two of this experiment, but I can already see that having another pair of hands around will mean miracles can happen.
This weekend is the beginning of two weeks of the intense “family” time that comes with combining a major holiday and the end of school term. In order to meet this task with grace, organisation will be the key. Otherwise it is likely that Easter will be met without eggs, heads may be bonnet-less and lunches arrived at, minus one child. Here is what I have in store.
Photographing all school artworks for posterity before they are disassembled and once again returned to the recycling. Otherwise it is possible I could set up my own recycling station at home.
Making signs for the Easter Bunny to find our house, as even with the assurance that he eats lots of carrots and his eye sight is exemplary, Miss Four is concerned he may miss our house.
Reading an actual book, risking paper cuts instead of screen fatigue.
Planning and possibly making an Easter outfit. Any excuse for a new outfit is a good one, but major holidays are traditionally acknowledged by my family in a sartorial manner.
Finishing up my secret squirrel project to launch for you on MONDAY! Tell your friends, family or even your dry cleaner to tune in for fun.
So while I take my usual weekend hiatus from the page, I bring you a little list of Links a la Mode to keep you entertained and amused.

I’ll let you do all the work while I sit back eating hot cross buns… Easter I tried to turn the bunny into a lapin muff so it’s unlikely he’ll be dropping by the Palace of Despotism anytime soon.

Hii.. I couldn’t seem to find a contact you button on your site so I’ll have to post here sorry!
I have a query about putting your blog into your website? Like you I’m going to convert to a website as I’m finding the blog side too restrictive, and photobuckets asking me to pay to use it now, so I figure its
Trish: You can find a contact form on the ABOUT page. Feel free to send me your questions there.
Oh I am so jealous. And please I am trying to finish a blog post and here you go distracting me with more great blogs. I have tagged you with a good Q&A meme, and I really want to know your As.
xx
oh, and how do we get a cuter avatar on your page? (or is it just my browser)
Please let us know how the assistant works out.
xx
Hammie: Your Avatar will automatically inset if you have a word press account, otherwise if you use Open id you can have one too. I can organise an auto generated one, but it still wouldn’t allow you to pick your own that way. Assistant going well so far. Was an hour late today though (forgot daylight savings) and I thought I must have broken her last week.
